Welfare for Animals Goa (WAG) is a heaven for abandoned and injured animals who are rescued from the streets of North Goa. Most of them in wounded, injured and terrible state. The heart comes out to see them suffer like that.
We started this project in April 2020 during the last Covid lockdown and ever since then we have continued to support these animals at WAG. That time they had about 203 animals.
WAG shelters over 120 animals comprising of cows, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, turkey and parrots today.
Due to the Covid crisis, the Lockdown, and limited resources, with many animals to care, WAG is struggling to keep them fed and medicated.
Since the Lockdown Ammucare has been consistently supporting WAG in their noble endeavour. They receive no financial help from the Government and function, due to the kindness of people
Lockdown caused so many hardships, and lack of goods and services, and despite that, the WAG staff has worked EVERY SINGLE DAY since, and have in fact amplified their services and efforts! Let’s come together and do our bit by supporting them in their endeavors.
Please extend help donate funds for these animals in distress.
